Blackfly Outfitter Fishing Report and Forecast, March 18, 2016

This weeks report is from Captain James Dumas fishing primarily in the St. Augustine area. Capt. James reports a good bite on redfish still grouped up into nice schools. The trout bite has been a bit off but some nice flounder are still eating. James is looking forward to the next few weeks to the beginnings of the bait moving into our area from down south. That activity will mark the return of the jacks, triple tail, sharks, cobia and tarpon that will carry us through the spring and summer. Listen to his report for the details.

The big news for Capt. James is the arrival of his new boat. He has just taken delivery of a New Blackfly Lodge Edition Vantage from East Cape. It’s a beautiful skiff with a bench seat that will accommodate 2 anglers and a very stable casting platform. James says it’s a great boat for this area and he’s looking forward to many years of service it will provide.

Blackfly Outfitter Fishing Report and Forecast 3/14/2016

We received a nice report from Capt. John Bottko this morning and he is looking forward to a great week of inshore and near shore fishing. With our air temps on the way up and a generally west wind forecast for most of the week, the redfish should start being a little more receptive to the fly fishermen. Triple tail may also be in the offing. Listen in to Capt. Johns report for the details.
